How it works: Paste YouTube video URLs (one per line). The tool extracts public metadata using YouTube's oEmbed API + page scraping via CORS proxy. Works for public videos only — private or restricted videos return limited data.

What data is extracted

For each YouTube URL, the extractor retrieves: Video title, Channel name, Thumbnail URL (in multiple resolutions: maxresdefault, hqdefault, mqdefault, sddefault), Video ID, Duration (from oEmbed), Description snippet, and Direct embed URL. All data is exported with column headers ready to paste directly into Google Sheets or Excel.

Enter YouTube URLs to get all available thumbnail resolutions. Right-click any thumbnail to save, or use the Download button.

Thumbnail Resolutions

YouTube stores thumbnails at multiple resolutions for each video: maxresdefault (1280×720, highest quality), sddefault (640×480), hqdefault (480×360), mqdefault (320×180), and default (120×90). Not all resolutions are available for every video — if the highest quality returns a grey placeholder, try the next size down.

Extract clean Video IDs from any YouTube URL format. Supports watch URLs, short URLs (youtu.be), embed URLs, and Shorts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything about our YouTube metadata tools.

No. DataVista's YouTube tools use YouTube's public oEmbed API and public thumbnail URLs which require no API key. Some metadata (like exact view counts or likes) is only available through the official API — for those, we extract what's publicly accessible.
The bulk metadata extractor supports up to 50 URLs per batch. For larger lists, process in batches and use the CSV export to combine results in a spreadsheet.
Yes. The Thumbnail Downloader tab shows all available resolutions for any video (up to 1280×720 maxresdefault). Right-click to save or use the Download button. Thumbnails are publicly accessible images hosted by YouTube's CDN.
All formats: youtube.com/watch?v=ID, youtu.be/ID, youtube.com/embed/ID, youtube.com/shorts/ID, and raw video IDs (11 characters). The parser handles URLs with extra parameters, timestamps, and playlist references.
Yes. Use "Copy for Sheets" to get tab-separated data that pastes directly into Google Sheets or Excel with columns automatically. Or download as CSV or Excel (.xls) file.
